CSCMP launches “instant translate” feature for SCPro exams

New multilingual feature enhances accessibility of certification exams for global members.

In a move to support its diverse global community, the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) has introduced an “Instant Translate” tool that will allow members to take its online SCPro Assess, SCPro Fundamentals, and SCPro Level 1 certification exams in any of 22 different languages.

The “Instant Translate” tool leverages advanced machine translation technology, allowing test-takers to highlight any text within the assessment and receive an immediate translation in their preferred language. Whether it’s translating an entire question or clarifying a specific word or phrase, this feature ensures that language barriers do not impede understanding.

“Instant Translate” provides automatic on-screen translations whenever needed. This interactive tool is especially beneficial for non-native speakers, enhancing their confidence and comprehension during exams.

By incorporating this feature, CSCMP reaffirms its commitment to accessibility and inclusivity for its domestic and international members. The available languages are: Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), Chinese (Simplified), Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Norwegian (Bokmål), Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, and Ukrainian.

Instant Translate Exam key benefits and features

1. Fast and interactive: All translations happen on-screen and in-context instantly.

2. Fair and inclusive: Helps candidates taking a test in their non-native language with the ability to succeed fairly.

3. Reduces anxiety: Supports candidates understanding, so they can focus on the subject matter.

4. Highly flexible: Gives test-takers the choice to turn the tool on and off per assessment depending on their needs

The global air cargo market’s hot summer of double-digit demand growth continued in August with average spot rates showing their largest year-on-year jump with a 24% increase, according to the latest weekly analysis by Xeneta.

Xeneta cited two reasons to explain the increase. First, Global average air cargo spot rates reached $2.68 per kg in August due to continuing supply and demand imbalance. That came as August's global cargo supply grew at its slowest ratio in 2024 to-date at 2% year-on-year, while global cargo demand continued its double-digit growth, rising +11%.

Seegrid Corp., which makes autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for pallet material handling, has landed $50 million in new financial backing to accelerate its autonomous lift truck initiatives, which are generating more growth than expected, the company said today.

Congressional gridlock and election outcomes complicate search for labor

Worker shortages remain a persistent challenge for U.S. employers, even as labor force participation for prime-age workers continues to increase, according to an industry report from labor law firm Littler Mendelson P.C.

The report cites data showing that there are approximately 1.7 million workers missing from the post-pandemic workforce and that 38% of small firms are unable to fill open positions.
