Canadian Dairy Queen Co-Op Partners with ArrowStream to Deepen Supply Chain Visibility & Expertise

Long-established "Fan Food not Fast Food" Restaurant Chain Continues ArrowStream's Canadian Presence

Chicago, Ill. - May 15, 2018 - ArrowStream®, a foodservice supply chain innovator that combines expertise in software and services to improve supply chain performance, today announced that CDQ Co-Op LTD. (CDQ), which provides the exclusive supply chain for the over 600 Canadian Dairy Queen® and Orange Julius® stores, has licensed ArrowStream's market-leading OnDemand software to better manage food quality, spend, inventory and auditing with its suppliers and distributors.

CDQ required accurate, consistent, timely data to enable their team to continuously improve store and system profitability as well as product and service quality. They were seeking a progressive, flexible and simple-to-use technology that would provide consolidated visibility into product inventory, contracts and pricing across their supply network. In ArrowStream, CDQ found the visibility and auditing power they needed, and also realized they could set the bar higher. The CDQ supply chain team could advance their strategic focus through OnDemand's supplier collaboration tools as well as Supplier Discovery, the industry's first category management solution integrated with a curated database of foodservice suppliers.

"We were immediately impressed with OnDemand's guided analytics, and when we saw how those insights are tied right into action, we knew this was the solution for CDQ," said Jeff Planden, General Manager, CDQ. "ArrowStream provides market-leading technology in the foodservice industry, and we plan to leverage their deep domain expertise to significantly improve our supply chain performance across Canada. This technology translates the data from our network into an ability to stay ahead of critical issues and discover tangible ways for CDQ and it's trading partners to create a more efficient and higher quality supply chain. We think this is a competitive advantage for CDQ and our stores as Dairy Queen® Canada continues their growth in Canada."

Dairy Queen® and Orange Julius® stores across Canada join a portfolio of impressive North American brands, including top 50 brands such as Panda Express, Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen, Zaxby's, Shake Shack, and Hardee's. OnDemand empowers restaurant chains to quickly identify price variance savings opportunities and proactively address the most pressing threats to their supply chains by consolidating inventory, contract and quality assurance information in a single platform, eliminating the need for traditional data mining practices to identify these challenges.

The latest advancements in OnDemand are once again changing the way the foodservice supply chain operates, allowing customers to tap into a centralized industry information and collaboration hub represented by ArrowStream's large network of suppliers, distributors and operators. For the first time, customers can execute seamless sourcing, pricing, performance tracking and issue resolution across business partners, powered by industry-wide content and intelligence.

"We welcome CDQ to our family of amazing restaurant brands," said Jeff Dorr, Chief Customer Officer, ArrowStream. "Since 2014, we have doubled our customer portfolio and renewed more than 25 customer contracts which represent a 100% renewal rate over the past 4 1/2 years. We are very proud of this accomplishment, and more importantly, it confirms we are delivering the right solution with the right consultative services to our customers. With CDQ, we are building on this success and are well-positioned to increase our offering of high-value data intelligence solutions for foodservice supply chains throughout the North America region."
