Kuebix Recognized in Gartner Market Guide for Yard Management

Kuebix Recognized in Gartner Market Guide for Yard Management

MAYNARD, Mass., Feb. 05, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Kuebix, creator of a transportation management system (TMS) that delivers true freight intelligence, has been included in Gartner's 2019 Market Guide for Yard Management. This research, published on 30 January 2019 and authored by Bart De Muynck and Simon Tunstall, helps supply chain leaders understand the market and vendors for yard management.

According to Gartner's research, "As transportation costs and capacity issues increase, yard management presents opportunities to improve operational efficiency through increased visibility and process optimization."

Kuebix provides complete visibility of product down to the SKU-level from booking, through transit, to location in the yard. Kuebix is a modular solution that enables companies to choose only the features they require, such as gate check and dock scheduler. With Kuebix, TMS and YMS functionality are available in a single solution, as opposed to disparate technologies that don't provide end-to-end visibility. Built on the latest cloud technology, Kuebix offers fast implementations leading to rapid return on investment.

The Gartner research continues, "Companies are looking into YMS solutions to help close the supply chain gaps that exist in their own backyards. Some of these gaps consist of long trailer wait times, unproductive personnel numbers, poorly synchronized movement of goods and ineffective dock planning."

Kuebix YMS leverages the carrier management and communications features of Kuebix TMS, allowing users to maintain carrier drop trailer agreements, automate carrier communication around the status of their equipment, streamline hostler work assignments, and ensure optimal processes such as first in/first out. Kuebix YMS incorporates the same high level of user experience and usability as Kuebix TMS.

"We are proud to have Kuebix recognized by Gartner for its YMS in this piece of yard management research," said Dan Clark, President and Founder of Kuebix. "Our goal is to make transportation operations as efficient as possible over the entire freight life cycle. With Kuebix YMS, companies can optimize their yard/dock and implement the solution in the same modular fashion as our TMS."

Kuebix YMS modules include dock scheduler, gate check, hostler optimization, and advanced equipment tracking capabilities such as RFID.
