Independent Forwarders Say: Efficient Networks Key To Success

In an industry where efficiency is crucial to success, freight forwarders are expected to think on their feet to adapt to new situations. Troubleshooting problems as they arise is essential, to ensure shipments go smoothly and to safeguard reputation

Kelly Bunyan is the Owner and Managing Director of a group of successful freight networks, headquartered in London, UK: World Freight Network (WFN), Specialist Freight Networks (SFN) and
International Freight Network (IFN).

Kelly told us: “Forwarding is an extremely time-sensitive industry. To gain business, and keep business, independent forwarders must retain the trust of partners and clients. This trust is built by the level of service, strong communication and – perhaps most importantly – completing shipments on time.”

Debbie Constantine, Group Operations Manager, added: “Delays cause worry, stress and often result in higher charges. It’s imperative things go smoothly – and that experts are on hand when they go less smoothly! We vet all our members upon application and to ensure that our members can handle the challenges of the industry efficiently, with a top level of professionalism.”

One network member commented: “Knowing that all members have gone through the same application process gives me confidence that they are fully capable of handling my business, keeping me informed and completing shipments as swiftly as possible. The current global situation has caused us all difficulties, but working with agents I trust means we are able to contend with this and keep our clients happy.”

Another member mentioned: “Now is the time to be part of a network family, to be known and not lost in a sea of forwarders! Being able to trust in the efficiency of my partners, knowing I can ask for help and advice, updates and information… it really does help give me peace of mind, day to day.”

Debbie concluded: “We at Head Office also pride ourselves on our service – we connect our members and answer queries in the speediest time possible, doing our bit to keep things running smoothly. Our members, and our networks, are thriving as a result of everyone’s professional and slick approach.”
