CSCMP and Trimble Transportation host video contest for young supply chain professionals

Winner will receive complimentary registration to CSCMP EDGE Conference.

Do you know a solution-oriented young professional or student CSCMP member age 32 or under? Trimble Transportation, a provider of fleet tracking and management services, and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) are looking for young professionals to submit videos with thoughtful responses to the following two questions:

  1. In the past decade, what has been the most influential technology on supply chain management, and what do you foresee emerging as the most transformative technology over the next decade?
  1. "Visibility/traceability across the end-to-end supply chain" has been one fo the most funded supply chain initiatives, according to global research and advisory firm Gartner, over the past two years; yet this covers a vast spectrum of connection and is not easily achieved. How would you define this task and construct an implementation plan that spans the entire supply chain?

Trimble Transportation and CSCMP will evaluate candidates on their skills to provide creative insights and novel solutions, as well as their aptitude to add genuine value to the supply chain.

Last year's winner, Nate Zachary said in a release, "I greatly enjoyed the opportunity to participate in CSCMP's highly regarded contest to search for thought leadership among young professionals. Taking the time and effort to participate in this contest last year helped me clearly articulate about meaningful developments I believe are achievable for our industry, which was a valuable exercise by itself."

The deadline to enter is April 1, 2020. To enter, visit https://woobox.com/8fpwgh. The winner of the contest will receive one complimentary registration to CSCMP's EDGE 2020 Conference in Orlando, hotel lodging, and a $500 U.S. travel stipend. They will also receive written recognition before and after EDGE as well as an announcement during the Future Leaders Reception. Candidates must be a young profession or student member of CSCMP (age 32 or under) at the time of submission.
