CLEVELAND, Ohio, April 4, 2018 — Vasanth Srinivasan, vice president of enterprise architecture of TMW, will be part of a panel to discuss blockchain technology and provide insight regarding its practical applications in the logistics and transportation sector for attendees of the upcoming Transportation Intermediaries Association's (TIA) Capital Ideas Conference to be held April 8-11 in Palm Desert, CA.

"Blockchain technology's potential in the trucking industry is extensive," said Vasanth Srinivasan, vice president of enterprise architecture, of TMW. "We want to share that information with our TIA peers to encourage the trucking industry to embrace this innovative technology for increased productivity and optimization, and in turn higher profit margins."

Blockchain technology is a continuously growing list of records, called blocks, linked and secured using cryptography. In the trucking industry, blockchain crosses business segments and functions, improving nearly every process from billing and payment to freight planning and fleet visibility.
