Three Cimcorp Experts Named Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive Award Winners

GRIMSBY, Ontario—March 18, 2019—Cimcorp, a manufacturer and integrator of turnkey robotic order fulfillment and tire-handling solutions, announces Rick Trigatti, President, and Luis Graca, Applications Engineering Manager, have been selected as 2019 Food Logistics Champions. Additionally, Derek Rickard, Distribution Sales Manager, has been named a 2019 Pro to Know, making his fourth appearance on Supply & Demand Chain Executive's prestigious list.

The Food Logistics Champions: Rock Stars of the Supply Chain Awards recognize influential individuals whose achievements, hard work and vision have shaped and attained milestones in safety, efficiency, productivity and innovation through the global food supply chain. A seasoned expert in engineering and automation, Rick Trigatti is honored for leading Cimcorp in helping customers solve their toughest material handling challenges with innovative robotic solutions. Rick's vision has enabled numerous food & beverage companies to increase efficiency, better utilize space, improve ergonomics, ensure traceability and maximize product freshness.

Joining Rick on Food Logistics' list, Luis Graca develops robotic solutions to handle fresh produce, dairy, beverage and bakery distribution, optimizing customers' product handling—either completely through automation or as "islands" of automation integrated with manual processes. Most notably, Luis led the development of Cimcorp's layer pick system currently used by large food & beverage distribution centers.

The 2019 Pros to Know Award List recognizes more than 200 individuals, including supply chain executives, and manufacturing and non-manufacturing enterprises that are leading initiatives to prepare their companies' supply chains for the significant challenges of today's business climate. Derek Rickard is recognized for developing customized robotic order fulfillment systems for Cimcorp's distribution center customers. With expert insight into the unique challenges and pain points of diverse markets, Derek helps clients in a wide range of industries optimize material flow, increase operational efficiency, maximize their return on investment, and prepare for future growth.

Rick Trigatti, President, Cimcorp Automation Ltd., said, "Faced with seasonal spikes, rapidly increasing SKU quantities, labor shortages and rising customer expectations, manual distribution centers can easily fall behind as they struggle to efficiently fulfill orders—particularly in industries such as food & beverage where speed is critical to product shelf life. As these pressures grow, automation has become a crucial component for success in today's supply chain. This year's award recognitions reflect Cimcorp's commitment to helping our clients not only address their current business needs, but also ensure their facilities are prepared to overcome any future challenge in a modern, innovative way."
