Weigh in on the Future of Freight at the 2019 Ohio Conference on Freight

The Midwest's leading freight conference runs Aug. 7-9, 2019, in Downtown Cleveland

CLEVELAND (Monday, July 15, 2019) - Ohio is a vital hub for freight movement in the country, thanks to its robust shipping network and easy access to population centers in the United States and Canada. The ease of freight movement will help existing businesses in Ohio and neighboring states and Canada grow, encourage the start-up of new businesses, and facilitate the relocation of businesses.

The 2019 Ohio Conference on Freight, to be held August 7-9, 2019, at the Westin Cleveland Downtown Hotel, will address freight issues such as supply chain/logistics, smart transportation technology, and federal and state policies that support freight-related transportation and economic development. Hosted this year by the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA), the Ohio Conference on Freight is the Midwest's leading freight conference.


"We have exciting speakers and topics lined up for this year's Ohio Conference on Freight," says Grace Gallucci, NOACA Executive Director. "Whether you're involved with freight as an engineer, planner, freight company manager, or shipper, you'll come away with information on the latest trends and technology innovation in the freight industry."

The two-and-a half-day conference consists of plenary and breakout sessions that cover the latest topics, tools, and trends in the world of freight today. Keynote speakers include:
• Bibop Gresta, Chairman of Hyperloop Transportation Technologies
• Caitlin G. Hughes, Director of the Office of Freight Management & Operations for the U.S. Federal Highway Administration
• Joe Comartin, Consul General of the Consulate General of Canada-Detroit
• Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur
• Ferzan Ahmed, Executive Director of the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission

Registration for the full conference is $325. Day passes for Thursday, Aug. 8, are $200, and for Friday, Aug. 9, are $125.
